MSI Wind U120 – Interior Revealed, Plus Valentine’s Day U100

MSI Wind U120 Back in November, the non-sequel to the 10.2″ Intel Atom-powered MSI Wind U100 was announced – the MSI Wind U120. The U120 was more of an expansion of the Wind line than a direct sequel to the U100 – it offers a slightly different design (one that’s been described as “more professional” while retaining the same keyboard for the most part), with the U120H coming with mobile broadband options.

MSIWind.ES (MSI Wind en Español ) has had their hands on one for a while and has published several articles about their impressions with it. Now they’ve posted photos of the insides of the Wind U120H, and it should make quite a few people happy, especially those who like to take them apart and upgrade some of the options on their own. The 2.5″ Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive bay/interface, along with the PCI Express wireless card are still easily accessible.

For a hard drive, it’s sporting a Western Digital Scorpio 160GB ( WD1600BEVT – 3 Gb/s, 8 MB Cache, 5400 RPM ) which has turned up in a number of netbooks these days. For the WWAN/mobile broadband, it’s got an Ericsson F3507g.
