Apple has announced the first of their Intel-powered portable lineup , and it’s not an ultralight 13-inch widescreen iBook as so many have rumored – instead it’s a 15-inch “MacBook Pro“. The new MacBook Pro is powered by an Intel Core Duo 1.67GHz or 1.83GHz CPU.
CNET Asia published their Top 10 Notebooks of December this morning. Interestingly enough, the list had six ultraportables (12-inch screens or less)
Jason D. O’Grady has put together a list at ZDNet, Top 10 Things Apple Could Announce at Macworld. Unlike other such lists floating around, he predicts odds and gives the reasons behind those odds. He has an Intel-powered PowerBook at 50-1, but an Intel-powered Mac mini and an Intel-powered widescreen iBook are listed at even money.
Macworld UK thinks Apple will roll out laptops with Intel chips in the first quarter of 2006.
