Taipei Times says Apple will take control of the notebook market
CoolTechZone.com is reporting that Intel’s new CPU, code-named Yonah, is set to be launched in less than a month, on January 6th. They believe it will be launched in India, but have this to say about a launch in the US: Knowing that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2006) will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada around the same timeframe, it makes sense for Intel to do a simultaneous launch in the U.S. as well.
Last week, PC World announced their Reliability and Service: The Best Companies to Buy From Awards/Survey (covering 35,000 PC World readers). In the notebook category, Lenovo/IBM and Apple stayed at the top for the second year in a row, with Sony improving over last year. One peculiar thing they noted – HP-branded laptops scored higher than Compaq-branded laptops, even though they are the same company.
