Press Release: HP 2730p, 2530p, 2230s

HP Compaq 2730p HP has put out its official press release about their new line of 12.1″ ultraportables, the convertible (Tablet PC) HP EliteBook 2730p, the HP Compaq 2230s (both of which had been previously announced earlier this month and last month), as well as the newly-announced HP EliteBook 2530p.

While the HP Compaq 2230s is already available (it’s their budget-oriented laptop out of the lineup), the 2730p (starting at $1670 USD) and 2530p (starting at $1499 USD) won’t be available until early September, 2008.

Inspired by aircraft construction and designed for style-conscious mobile professionals, the HP EliteBook 2530p features the sleek and durable HP DuraCase – a brushed, anodized aluminum exterior casing combined with a magnesium alloy chassis that is engineered to pass several military-standard durability tests such as extreme temperature, dust and humidity.

As well as a more secure laptop (with an eye towards how to deal with your data when you recycle your laptop within your company or in regards to disposal):
